Format Registry entry (system-wide)
This Format Registry entry is for setting formats for latitude and longitude, date and time fields across the system (all date fields will be affected, for example). It differs from the Format Registry entry (field specific), which specifies case-conversion and auto-incrementation on a per field basis.
The Format Registry entry has the following applications:
Specify a circa period (a start and an end date) and a title for the period.
Specify an adjustment (+/-) in years to apply to a date within a given period.
Specify the format for dates entered into fields that have a Date data type.
Specify the format in which dates will display in a field in a module when retrieved from a database. Only affects fields that have a Date data type.
Specify the format in which times will display in a client when retrieved from a database.
Specify the format in which latitude values will display in a client when retrieved from a database.
Specify the format in which longitude values will display in a client when retrieved from a database.
